A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. This page lists the cookies DataExtend sets, what each one does and how you can change your choice.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
dx_consent | DataExtend | Stores whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. | 1 year |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors and sessions so we can see how the site is used. The suffix depends on the Google Analytics property. | Up to 2 years |
Analytics and consent
The site uses Google Analytics through the Google tag GT-5R4Z9R4. Google Consent Mode v2 is configured before the tag loads. Ad storage, ad user data and ad personalisation are denied everywhere; the site runs no advertising or remarketing cookies.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage is denied until you accept. Outside those regions, analytics storage is granted by default and the banner lets you reject it. Your choice is stored in dx_consent and applied to the Google tag.
You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Rejecting analytics does not change how the site works.
WordPress cookies
If you log in to WordPress, WordPress sets wordpress_test_cookie for the session and wp-settings-* cookies for up to one year to remember your admin settings. If you submit a comment, WordPress may store comment_author_* cookies for your name, email and site. These cookies are not used for analytics.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the dx_consent cookie means the site will ask for your choice again on your next visit. For the wider processing of personal data, see the Privacy Policy.
